Day one: placement and notice
You place the claim online in about two minutes or call 321-710-3530 and we walk through the accounts with you. Your accounts are assigned promptly, and the debtor is notified right after. We send you a request for whatever documentation you have on the debtor, and you receive a username and password for the online dashboard where you can watch the activity on every claim.
Phase 1: direct collection
Daily phone contact, demand letters, skip tracing, settlement negotiation, and dispute resolution. We make consistent contact attempts, issue written notices, and conduct skip tracing when necessary. Many accounts are resolved in this phase; the average claim is collected in 14 to 21 days.
If additional action is required, the account moves into Phase 2 without any additional steps from you.
Phase 2: attorney involvement
The file is referred to an attorney from our nationwide network of more than 500 collection and litigation attorneys, typically located in or near the debtor's area. A formal demand from a law firm can change the direction of the account. The attorney evaluates the legal case while direct contact continues. If the matter remains unresolved, we review the available options with you and give you our recommendation.
Phase 3: your decision
At this stage we make a clear recommendation: close the case, or proceed with litigation.
If the facts, the available assets, or the overall recovery potential do not support further action, we recommend closing the case at no cost to you.
If litigation is warranted, the decision is yours. You may decline, and you owe nothing. Or you authorize litigation and our attorneys pursue judgment and the available enforcement remedies, including garnishment, levy, and asset recovery. Suit fees are usually advanced by the client and typically reimbursed once a judgment is collected. After a judgment we run asset searches, verify employment, and locate property and accounts so the judgment actually gets enforced.
What we need from you while the account is being worked
- Report any payment the debtor makes directly to you immediately. It is illegal for us to keep collecting on a paid claim.
- Stop all in-house collection activity on the account once it is placed.
- If the debtor contacts you, send them back to us to handle the negotiation.
- Send documentation when we ask for it: ledger history, the signed agreement, invoices, and any correspondence.
Getting paid
Recovered funds are remitted on a set schedule, with our fee already deducted. Payments collected the 1st through the 15th are processed the 1st through the 5th of the following month; payments collected the 16th through the 31st are processed the 16th through the 20th of the following month. Custom remittance schedules are available, and you get reports in whatever format and frequency you want.
Common follow-up questions
Will I know what is happening on my accounts?
Yes. Every client gets 24/7 online access to every account placed with us, plus reports in the format and frequency you choose.
What if the debtor calls me instead of the agency?
Refer them back to us so we can handle the negotiation, and report any payment they make to you right away. Mixed messages give a debtor an excuse to stall.
Does the account go to an attorney automatically?
Referral to an attorney for a demand and case evaluation happens without any extra step from you. Filing a lawsuit never happens without your authorization.
